Summer Reading Program!

Registration

Or stop by the library any time to sign up and pick up your Kick Off Kit which includes a Summer Reading Program information packet/calendar, a themed bookmark, and reading tracker. We will also have sign up available at the weekly Oxford Farmer's Market.

Craft Kits

Back by popular demand: Family Craft Kits! A new kit will be available weekly, beginning Tuesday, June 6th, at the library

Programming

Programming will kick-off on Wednesday, June 7th at 10:30 AM, with a walk through of our StoryWalk at Creekside Park! We will host a special storytime and group walk along the StoryWalk. At the Kick-Off event, families can take home a copy of the All Oxford Reads featured storywalk book, Avocado Feels a Pit Worried by Brenda S. Miles and Monika Filipina. Stay tuned for more details, as well as more information about other programs throughout the summer!

Storytime at Creekside Park

We will offer a weekly storytime at Creekside Park at two different times: Wednesdays at 10:30 AM and 6:15pm. We recommend you bring your own blanket or towel to sit on.

Reading Logs

BINGO Sheet: This tracker is for everyone! Work toward a BINGO (or even a black-out!) throughout the summer. Return your BINGO sheet to the library by August 5th to be entered into a prize drawing!

Youth Reading Game Sheet: Kids can use this tracker mutliple times throughout the summer to track their minutes spent reading. Everytime they complete a sheet, kids can bring it into the library to add their name to our STAR READER wall!

Fun at the Library

Guessing Jars: We will have guessing jars at the front desk in June and July. Submit an entry - 1 per day max - with your guess of how many items are in the jar. The closest guess will win the whole jar! Winners will be announced at the end of each month.

Rockin' Round Oxford: An OPL painted rock will be hidden at different spots around town for participants to find all summer long! A clue for that week's location will be posted on the OPL Facebook page on Tuesday of each week. If you find the rock, return it to OPL and win a small prize.

Winston the Whale: A cozy whale friend keeps getting lost in the library! Each week help Ms. Lauren find Winston the Whale in the library and win a small prize. Winston can be found 1 time per week (per patron).
