Welcome to the 2021 Summer Reading Program!
Our Summer Reading Program - Reading Colors Your World - begins June 1st and runs June-July! Stop by the library any time to sign up and pick up your Kick Off Kit. We will also have sign up available at the weekly Oxford Farmer's Market.
Back by popular demand: Family Craft Kits! A new kit will be available weekly, beginning Saturday, June 5th, at the library.
Programming will kick-off on Saturday, June 12th at 10:00 AM, with the opening of our new StoryWalk at Creekside Park! We will host a special storytime and group walk along the StoryWalk. Stay tuned for more details, as well as more information about other programs throughout the summer!
Storytime at Creekside Park
We are so excited to offer in person programming again! We will offer a weekly storytime at Creekside Park at two different times: Wednesdays at 10:30 AM and Thursdays at 6:30 PM. We recommend you bring your own blanket or towel to sit on.
BINGO Sheet: This tracker is for everyone! Work toward a BINGO (or even a black-out!) throughout the summer. Return your BINGO sheet to the library by August 7th to be entered into a prize drawing!
Youth Reading Game Sheet: Kids can use this tracker mutliple times throughout the summer to track their minutes spent reading. Everytime they complete a sheet, kids can bring it into the library to add their name to our STAR READER wall!
Fun at the Library
Guessing Jars: We will have guessing jars at the front desk in June and July. Submit an entry - 1 per day max - with your guess of how many items are in the jar. The closest guess will win the whole jar!
Where's Waxy?: A cut out of our crayon friend, Waxy, will be hidden in the library in a new spot each week. When you find him, let us know and you'll get a small prize!
