Fax something

The library has a fax machine available.

Write here a description of your library's faxing service. Include:

  • Faxes will be both sent and received.
  • All material to be faxed must be on 8 ½ by 11 inch paper, if a photocopy has to be made to get what is being faxed in that format regular fees apply.
  • A cover sheet will be provided and there will be no charge for sending that page. After the cover sheet the charge is 50 cents for first page and 25 cents for each additional page.
  • Incoming faxes will be charged at 50 cents a page. Send faxes to 319-828-4087.
  • Documents may be sent and picked up during normal library hours, but may be received 24 hours a day.
  • If a received fax is clearly marked with contact information library staff will attempt to notify patrons, but will not deliver or try repeatedly to contact patron. Received faxes will be held at the desk for one week after receiving.
  • Ask at the desk for the staff for faxing requests and the staff will send or receive the fax for you.
  • The library will try to maintain confidentiality when processing a fax, but makes no guarantees as to privacy, quality, or reliability of the fax services.
